Central University of Rajasthan: Courses, fees and Admission

The Central University of Rajasthan (CURaj) was established in the year 2009 by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 25 of 2009). The goal of this university’s establishment was to become one of the most active and energetic in all of India, providing all student communities with state-of-the-art education. The Government of India fully funds the university, which offers top-notch education to everyone—especially students from low-income backgrounds who want to pursue higher education.

Since its founding in 2009, CURaj has effectively finished a journey spanning 15 years. The University has quickly become one of the best academic institutions by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to disseminate knowledge for a worldwide audience. The University is one of Rajasthan’s most rapidly expanding and successful higher education institutions.

Over the course of the last 15 years, the university has transformed into a green, pollution-free campus that promises to provide an aesthetically pleasing and healthy environment to support and optimize academics, research, and holistic development by involving students and staff in a variety of sports and cultural events that are essential for preserving the students’ wellbeing and developing their potential. As of right now, the University is flourishing under the direction and supervision of Professor Anand Bhalerao, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, who assumed the role on January 24, 2022.

Central University of Rajasthan Campus

CURAJ is located on the Jaipur-Ajmer Expressway, 83 and 40 kilometres from Jaipur and Ajmer respectively.

The campus is currently under development. The departments are now housed in temporary structures and are scheduled to relocate to their permanent locations in 2016. The construction of a temporary 1500-seat air-conditioned auditorium has begun. The guest house’s construction is finished. The university has successfully implemented rainwater harvesting by building seven ponds at various locations on campus and by building state-of-the-art permanent buildings for hostels. A sewage treatment plant has also been built at the campus’s periphery, with its outlet being used to water plants.

Central University of Rajasthan Courses

Academic and research courses by CURAJ in the fields of technology, science, humanities, business, management, public policy, and social sciences are provided. This offers integrated five-year M.Sc. programs in multiple subjects that award both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees. In the first and second years of these programs, students will study four core subjects. In the third year when they will pursue their M.Sc., they will study only one major subject. The institution provides three-year Integrated M.Sc. B.Ed. programs, M.A. programs, M.Sc. programs, and a variety of PG programs with specialization.

Central University of Rajasthan Admission

The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) has 12 academic schools and 29 departments that together provide more than 50 postgraduate and doctorate degrees. Numerous academic fields, including engineering and technology, science, the humanities, and commerce, are covered by these programs. Courses such as B. Tech., M. Tech., M. Sc., M.A., MBA, M. Pharma, Ph.D., etc. are offered by the university. The following are the Central University of Rajasthan Admission criteria’s-

  • The Central Universities’ entrance exam, known as CUET, is the main method of admission for undergraduate, graduate, and research programs. It is administered nationwide.
  • For students who meet the HSC requirements, a five-year, unique integrated M. Sc. degree is provided in multiple fields.
  • Seats for M. Tech./M. Arch. programs are allotted to GATE certified applicants. Admission via MNIT, Jaipur’s centralised counseling program, CCMT.
  • Through centralised counseling, MNIT, Jaipur allots seats for M.Sc. admission to JAM-qualified students.

Ranking of Central University of Rajasthan

  • Central University of Rajasthan was ranked in the 151–200 band by the NIRF universities ranking of 2023.
  • The university has received A++ Grade from NAAC.
