Bhartiya Skill Development University: Courses, Fees and Admission

Bhartiya Skill Development University is propounded by Rajendra and Ursula Joshi Charitable Trust (RUJCT). It is the first ever Indian university to tap into the dimension of skill-based programs and establish itself as a leading education institute that focuses on developing holistic skills using the Swiss Dual System. 

Bhartiya Skill Development University is a multidisciplinary skills university offering B.Voc, M.Voc and Ph.D degrees in different skills disciplines. In addition to that, BSDU also offers programs on Skill Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, PG Diploma and Specialised Trainings in different skill domains. These programs are in compliance with UGC Instructions for Vocational Programs, National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) and the guidelines provided by respective Sector Skill Councils (SSC) incorporating the relevant National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Qualification Packs (QP). BSDU prides itself on being the first pure skills University in India and provides skills training of global standard from its campuses situated in Mahindra World City, Jaipur.

Swiss Dual System

The entire training program is based on the Swiss Dual System, which was implemented after the necessary adjustments were made to fit the Indian industry. It consists of two components: “On the Job Training” and “Vocational School.” Around 247 trades are available for skill development in Switzerland, taking an inspiration from them, BSDU bring home these inter industry courses for the Indian Youth. One stark difference between the two models is their duration- the Indian model is a three years degree course while the other  varies between 3-4 years. 

Centre of Excellence 

A Center of Excellence has been established at University Campus by Daikin Air-conditioning India Private Ltd. for HVAC & R Training with fully equipped air conditioning labs that have separate machines for students to learn different processes for air conditioning like vapor absorption, cooling towers, central air-conditioning machine, cold storage, multi-evaporator refrigeration, recirculation air conditioning, etc.

Hero MotoCorp invested 20–25 lakhs Indian rupees to establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) on the campus of Bhartiya Skill Development University in Jaipur. Hero guarantees that it will also offer internships and placements to University of B.VoC students. The MoU’s goal is to train students in the rapidly developing field of two-wheelers. Students will have access to the greatest equipment and top-notch apprenticeship programs with Hero MotoCorp thanks to this CoE.

Under the auspices of its “Beauty and Wellness Program,” Bhartiya Skill Development University partnered with Orane International to provide its students with professional industry knowledge. A project of the Bhartiya Skill Development University’s Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Skill Education is the Beauty and Wellness Center of Excellence. The training will be based on the Swiss Dual System, which consists of “On the Job Training” and “Vocational School.” This system was accepted by BSDU after the necessary modifications were made to make it suitable for the Indian business.

BSDU Admission 

BSDU Jaipur admission are based on a the merit system for both, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The merit may be either based on the last qualifying exam or a national examination. BSDU seeks students who have a strong academic background along with an equally astonishing skill set, students who have a greater understanding of integrating soft skills into theoretical knowledge and smoothening its application.
