NLUJ, Jodhpur: Courses, Fees and Admission

One of the top law schools in India, National Law University Jodhpur (NLUJ), is located in the energetic and colorful city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. NLUJ is consistently regarded as one of India’s best law schools. Since its founding in 1999, NLUJ has worked to develop outstanding attorneys and legal academics who would push and challenge the frontiers of current knowledge.

The NLUJ Act, which was approved by the Rajasthan State Legislature in 1999, allowed for the establishment of the university. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) counts the Law University as one of its members. It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and has recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC). In 2020, The Week and the NIRF placed it fifth and fourth, respectively, in the law category.

NLUJ Courses

The University has created a comprehensive, multidisciplinary framework for comprehending justice and the law. The institution provides distinctive five-year integrated undergraduate programs, such as the B.B.A., LL.B.(Hons.) and B.A., LL.B.(Hons.), in order to produce exceptionally talented international legal professionals. In-depth honors courses in a variety of legal topics, including business law, trade and investment law, criminal law, intellectual property rights law, and constitutional law, are available in these integrated programs.

NLUJ seeks to develop new talent to achieve the highest level of legal perfection through its one-year LL.M. programs in Corporate Laws and IPR Laws. NLUJ Admission

The NLUJ admission criteria are primarily entrance-based. In order to be considered for admission to the prestigious BBA-LLB, BA-LLB, and LLM programs, candidates must first take the CLAT entrance exam and then attend counseling. NLU Jodhpur’s School of Insurance Studies also provides an MBA programme. The university shortlists applicants for MBA admission based on CAT, CMAT, and MAT scores.

  • There are full-time, totally residential courses available at NLU Jodhpur. 
  • The university uses an offline application method.
  • Candidates for the BBA+LLB (Hons.) and BA+LLB (Hons.) programs are chosen solely based on their performance on the CLAT and their ability to meet the requirements of completing the 10+2 exam.
  • Candidates for the MBA program are chosen based on their performance on the most recent qualifying exam.
  • Candidates for the MBA in Insurance Risk Management must hold a B.E. or B.Tech in Engineering, with the exception of Electronics, Telecom, Communication, Computer Science, and IT.
  • If an applicant has an LLB or a five-year integrated LLB (Hons.) degree, their selection for an L.L.M. is exclusively determined on their CLAT results.
  • The National Level Entrance Test is the basis for admission to the Ph.D program given by NLU, Jodhpur.

Every academic year, NLU Jodhpur’s internship program allows both undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical experience in the legal field by working with various domestic and international organizations. 

Postgraduate students must complete a three-month internship with state or union initiatives, private or public initiatives, or advocacy organizations. 

Students have been prepared and assisted in obtaining employment in national and international law firms, financial institutions, senior counsels, and national regulators by the NLU Training and Placement unit.
