NIMHANS 2024-2025: Courses, Fees And Eligibility Criteria, Admission Process, Scholarship,Cut-offs and Placements

 About National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences 2024-2025: 

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences situated in Bangalore, Karnataka  which was founded in 1974. They are also known as NIMHANS, an autonomous University. Later on by the government of India the University was announced as an “ Institute of National Importance. 

The NIMHANS university provides courses such as UG, PG, Advanced Masters, Doctorate and Post doctorate degree, Diploma and certificate programs in the field of Medicine and Health sciences, Science, Nursing with this the University has a well experienced and skilled faculties who has delivered top-notch education to their students in the field of Psychiatry, Radiology and Imaging sciences, Neurology, Geriatrics, Anesthesia, Neurophysiology, Ayurved, Public Health, Biochemistry, Statistics etc. 

The University takes admission on the basis of the Merit entrance exam which is followed by an interview process for UG, PG and doctoral courses. For those who want to take admission in the PG courses such as MD, DM and M.Ch. For them the criteria is based on INI CET and INI SS which was conducted by AIIMS Delhi but candidates need to have a valid score in NIMHANS entrance test. For the admission they need to visit the official website, After this they need to fill the application form with all the necessary details, After filling the details they need to pay the application fees through debit/ credit/ net banking, If the candidates done with the complete registration they can download their admit card, After this they the candidate need to appear for entrance test after this they need to if they get selected they proceed with the interview process, After this the merit list released then the selected candidate need to complete their document verification, After all the process completed they need to pay the admission fees. 

NIMHANS 2024-2025 results were published on their official website and the University conducts the examination for both UG and PG courses where students can check their result online and they also download their result online from the university website portal for this they need to follow some steps such as : 1. They need to follow the official website of the University 2. Then move to the Training and Academics tabs on the Home page 3. After this the candidate needs to click on the result tab under academic section, 4. For downloading the result the candidate needs to click on the relevant course 5. After that they need to download the result. 

The NIMHANS University is the top best medical college which provides the best knowledge to their students and the University ranked 4 in NIRF (Medical) category in 2023 and ranked 4 in IIRF (medical) category. 

The University provides scholarships to the selected candidate on the basis of reserved seats by the government’s guidelines. Those who secure good marks in their exams provide the benefit of a cash prize according to the marks they secured in the semester exam. With this they also provide educational loan facilities associated with the colleges. 

NIMHANS 2024-2025 cut-offs for the admissions under the courses such as MD, DM and M.Ch for this the students need to obtain the minimum score for the admission. For the M.Ch in neurosurgery the cut-off is 96 in round 1 and 103 in round 2. And for MD in Psychiatry the cut off is 284 in round 1 and 284 in round 2 also. 

The NIMHANS university provides placements and internships opportunities to their students is high and the university provides placements in both public and private hospitals. For the PG( 3 year)_total 44 no of students get placed from the campus and the median package which was offered to students is INR 16.09 LPA. The top recruiters who visited the campus are Apollo hospitals, Fortis hospitals, Max healthcare, Manipal Hospitals, ICMR.

Also the university provides facilities such as 1. Hospitals with 950 beds with specialty clinics to aid the mental well being of the patients. 2. Laboratories have the state of the art research facility which provides practical knowledge to the students 3. Library is one of the largest mental health and neurosciences libraries in Asia which include many books, journals, electronics resources related to psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience and allied fields 4. Hostels have separate hostels for men and women 5. Lecture halls and Auditoriums in which they attached modern audiovisuals to aid lectures  6. Sports complex which has the facility for both outdoor and indoor games for recreational purposes. The Mission of the University is to evolve and monitor the strategies for disaster management and psycho-social and rehabilitation in different cultural and ethnic group, They also promote the mental health literacy and eliminate the stigma attached to the mental and neurological illness by taking the measures and the delivery system to the centers of primary health care and honoring the human rights and dignity, They work with the Government and provide consultancy services for policy planning and monitoring strategies in the field of mental health and neurosciences and facilitate execution of national health programme, And then they developed the expertise and set standards of care for diseases of public health relevance in developing world.
