AIIMS Jodhpur is established under the Prandhan Mantri Swasthya Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare with the motive of correcting the medicinal disparity the exists between regions in India. It aims to self sufficiency in graduate an undergraduate education for medicine. Under the plan, 6 such institutions are envisioned to be set up in under served regions of the country.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, which offers undergraduate and graduate medical education in all of its branches and related fields, as well as nursing and paramedical training, is the model for these institutions, which are being established by an Act of Parliament. The goal of these institutions is to consolidate top-notch educational resources for staff training in all areas of health care activity in one location.

Jodhpur is situated in the geographic heart of Rajasthan. In the medical category of the Ministry of Education’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), AIIMS, Jodhpur was placed 16th in 2022 and 13th in 2023, it ranked second only to AIIMS, New Delhi.
AIIMS Jodhpur’s Centres of Excellence
- Center of Excellence for Tribal Health, AIIMS Jodhpur
The Indian government’s Ministry of Tribal Affairs has designated AIIMS Jodhpur as one of its Centres of Excellence for Tribal Health. The goals were to investigate the methods used by tribal healers, test telemedicine, and identify frequent illnesses so that public awareness might be raised.
- Center of Excellence in Oncology under India-Sweden Innovation Centre
The first project on Comprehensive Cancer Patient Support Service was launched in the AIIMS Jodhpur campus to provide treatment to cancer patients as part of the India-Sweden Innovation Center, a tripartite arrangement between AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Delhi, and Business Sweden, a Live CoE. On January 31, 2022, at Dubai Expo 2020, the centre was opened and ten start-ups that had been chosen for the second India-Sweden innovation challenge were honoured.

GenomeIndia:
One of the Department of Biotechnology’s flagship projects, a pan-Indian program centred at AIIMS Jodhpur includes whole genome sequencing of representative populations throughout India. The program aims to sequence the entire genomes of 10,000 individuals, representing the diverse population of the nation, and then analyse the resulting data. Through its Community Engagement and Involvement effort, the institute is tasked with interacting with the community at large, obtaining consent, raising awareness, obtaining clinical and biochemical phenotypes, and requesting samples for high-level whole exome sequencing and biobanking.

Cut Off of AIIMS Jodhpur
The last round closing ranks for the General-All India category can be used to predict the NEET score needed to get admitted to AIIMS Jodhpur for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) curriculum. The closing position was 649 in 2021; it fell to 502 in 2022; and it fell even lower to 534 in 2023. AIIMS Admission Procedure
AIIMS Admission 2024 has begun for Post-graduate and super speciality courses. Candidates must first apply for the appropriate admission exam, such as NEET or INI CET, in order to be considered for AIIMS Jodhpur Admission 2024. After that, they must show up for the counseling process in order to be guaranteed a spot in the preferred course.
