NIMS University: Courses, Fees and Admission

The NIMS institution Act allowed for the establishment of NIMS University Rajasthan, a self-financing institution in Rajasthan. The Government of India, UGC, DCI, BCI, MCI, PCI, and INC all recognize NIMS University. Furthermore, the university holds membership in AIU and NAAC accreditation. Through its more than 20 constituent colleges, the University Jaipur provides students with undergraduate, graduate, diploma, doctoral, and other degrees in a variety of subject areas, including nursing, engineering and technology, management and commerce, humanities and social sciences, medicine, and allied sciences.

According to ASSOCHAM India, NIMS University Jaipur is among the “Best Private Universities of the year 2018”. The same group also names it the “Best Private University for Skill Development.” The University was named the “Best Private University in India” by AICTE in 2017.

It is one of the biggest private universities in India, offering every course under the eight main streams. There are more than 100 courses offered overall, and over 12,000 students have been enrolled as of this writing.

NIMS University Amenities

  • Library: The Central Library occupies 2,500 square meters and was founded in 2008. Every college and faculty at the university has a separate library that is kept up to date and stocked. In addition to having access to a wide variety of e-periodicals, these libraries have about 62166 books on a variety of topics and a subscription to 288 print national and international journals.
  • Hostel: University Hostel offers residential facilities to over a thousand students. Students can access healthy food, air conditioning, a gym, and other amenities. Strict guidelines are adhered to in order to guarantee pupils’ safety. 
  • Sports Facility: Students are given access to both indoor and outdoor sports for their early growth and enjoyment. Grounds for sports like football, basketball, and volleyball are kept up.

NIMS University Courses

UG and PG NIMS courses in Mass Communication & Media, Design, and Hospitality & Travel are available at the University. The college provides undergraduate courses in UG Diploma, GNM, and D.Pharma under various streams. In addition, it provides postgraduate courses in PG Diploma and MBA/PGDM. All of the courses offered here have tuition fees ranging from INR 30,000 to INR 21,000,000.

NIMS University Admission

Admission to NIMS University in 2024 is determined by both entrance and merit. The majority of undergraduate and graduate programs are admitted solely through the university’s internal admission test, known as NIMSEE. In addition, certain courses accept scores from national admission exams like JEE Main, NEET, SS, etc. Via its 24 affiliated colleges, the University provides over 450 courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels. Numerous fields, including nursing, engineering and technology, management and commerce, humanities and social sciences, medicine and allied sciences, etc., offer courses.

How to apply to NIMS University?

The University website has the application form accessible online. The candidate can apply for several courses by filling out the online form. You may also fill out the application form offline. 

Application Process-

  • Visit the University’s official website to complete the application.
  • Remit the 800 INR application fee.
  • Once the application is submitted, make a note of the registration number
  • for use in offline environments.
  • A completed application form must be sent to the University address, along with a bank draft of INR 800 made payable to “NIMS University” and payable at Jaipur.

NIMS University Scholarship

Prof. (Dr.) Balvir Singh Tomar Merit-Based Scholarship (based on authorized board) for programs beyond 10+2:

Candidates from class XII, 2020–2021 who meet the program’s qualifying requirements will be provided the scholarship. 

  • 100% Scholarship- 94% aggregate and above
  • 75% Scholarship- 90% aggregate and above
  • 50% scholarship- 80% aggregate or above 

Admission to post-10+2 programs based on results of the entrance examinations for the NIMS University Common Scholarship. 

  • 50% Scholarship- 95% and above
  • 25% Scholarship- 90% and above
  • 20% Scholarship- 85% and above
  • 10% Scholarship- 60% and above
