Inspired by the teachings of the ninth spiritual supreme head of the Jain Shwetamber Terapanth Sangh, Ganadhipati Gurudev Shri Tulsi, and the tenth supreme head, Acharya Shri Mahapragya, Jain Vishva Bharati (JVB university) was founded in 1970 in Ladnun, Rajasthan’s Nagaur District. This institute is now a global hub for learning about Ahimsa (nonviolence), Jeevan Vigyan (the science of living), and Preksha Dhyan (preksha meditation), in addition to being a center of excellence in Jain Studies and the Prakrit language.

Jain Vishva Bharati University is a renowned university. Under Section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956, it was granted deemed university status in 1991. This university has received a “A” accreditation from the NAAC. The institution offers undergrad, graduate, doctoral, and certificate programs in a number of subject areas. Additionally, it provides instruction via remote learning. JVB University Scholarships
Various scholarships under different categories at varying levels are offered by the JVB university to provide feasible education to aspirants.
PG Level: The Department of Jainology and Comparative Religion & Philosophy, Prakrit, and Sanskrit offers free housing and INR 2,500 per month for meal facilities to students at this level. Additionally, the Department of Non-violence and Peace awards needy and merit-based scholarships to up to four students annually.
UG level: A limited number of merit- or need-based scholarships are awarded to deserving candidates. In accordance with state government guidelines, the Social Welfare Department awards scholarships to students who are SC, ST, or OBC members.
JVB University Admission
JVB university admission are acquired on the basis of both merit and entrance/ interviews.
Applicants must apply offline via the institution.
Candidates for dual degree programs and undergraduate programs must have earned at least 45% of their total points in the 10+2 or equivalent exam from an accredited board.
Candidates must be graduates with a bachelor’s degree in order to apply for postgraduate level degree programs.
The University administers written tests, interviews, and grades from the highest level of education are used to determine admission to all courses.
Application Process-
Applicants must submit an offline application in order to be considered for admission to Jain Vishva Bharati University. The steps to apply are as follows:-
- Applicants may pick up the required paperwork in person, along with an informational leaflet, by paying INR 250 in cash or demand draft.
- They can also fill out the form online using the University’s official website.
- Complete it and submit it to the JVBI by the deadline, along with the 300 INR demand draft (if utilizing an online form).
- A demand draft payable at Ladnun must be made out to “Registrar, JVBI.”
- The application requires three recent passport-sized colored photos that measure 3.5 by 4.5 cm.
- For each course, a separate form needs to be filled out.
- All the forms should be duly filled and submitted to the College Campus.
