The Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan enacted the ICFAI University, Jaipur Act, 2011 (Act No. 26 of 2011), which founded the university. Notification No. F. 2(26) Vidhi/2/2011, dated September 22, 2011, has been sent to the University. The ICFAI Society is a non-profit educational organization that was founded in 1984 and provides sponsorship to the university.

- Applicants for the BCA program must have earned 45% in their 10+2 coursework.
- Applicants for the B.Sc. (Hons.) program must have earned a 45% grade in mathematics during their 10+2 education, with the course completed.
- Applicants for an LL.B. must have graduated with 50% of the possible points in any stream.
- Merit in the 10+2 exams and performance in a personal interview will determine who gets admitted to the UG programs.
- Results from the CLAT, LSAT, and LSAT exams as well as an individual interview will determine admission to the B.A. LL.B., BBA LL.B., and LLB programs.
