Banasthali Vidyapith: Course, Admission Process and Placements
Banasthali Vidyapith is a fully residential institution of higher learning for women that provides an integrated curriculum from elementary school through doctorate.
In order to fill the void left by their daughter Shantabai’s untimely death, Smt. Ratan Shastri and Pandit Hiralal Shastri established Banasthali on October 6, 1935. One of the five Indian universities designated solely for women is Banasthali which has grown into a National Center for Women’s Education for the past 75 years. The goal of Banasthali’s educational curriculum is for students to develop as whole persons. Banasthali Vidyapith’s rural setting is ideal for fostering the philosophy of simple living as well as for ingraining and internalizing the virtues of tolerance and independence. Adhering to the principles of the well-rounded Panchmukhi educational system, the institute offers several chances for the comprehensive growth of the individual. The emphasis on the good parts of Indian origin has created an environment that has made it more easier for women to be elevated and confidently assume leadership roles.
This institute has creatively reorganized the courses it offers, covering topics from traditional to cutting-edge fields to the highest level of research, fully utilizing the autonomy granted by its designated university status. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has granted Banasthali a ‘A’ Grade of accreditation. In 2000, the university was granted the SANTBAL Award in recognition of her contributions to the field of women’s comprehensive education.
